Service Philosophy
The life insurance
and annuity industry today is tough,
demanding and fast-paced. An attorney
must be able to see, foresee, understand
and solve problems for her clients,
based on the client’s needs and
expectations, in an efficient manner.
Cailie A. Currin provides the quality
of service one hopes to find at a large
law firm, together with a level of personal
attention, flexibility and fee structure
that larger firms cannot easily match.
Cailie has extensive experience handling
compliance matters for life insurance
and annuity companies doing business
in New York and that is reflected in
every interaction she has with clients
and regulators.
Cailie believes that her clients are
entitled to the very highest level of
service, including:
-
Responsiveness.
Cailie believes in being there for
her clients. She returns phone calls
and e-mails as quickly as possible,
usually in the same business day.
She uses technology to stay in touch
with her clients and to increase her
availability.
-
Substantive
Knowledge and Expertise.
Cailie’s has been practicing
in the insurance regulatory field
for over 12 years, first at the New
York State Insurance Department, at
law firms, and in-house at a large
life insurance company. While a principal
at her previous law firms, she was
a valued resource for her product,
market and general compliance knowledge,
which were often sought out by clients
and members of the firms alike. Cailie’s
practice is focused exclusively on
the areas of her expertise.
-
A Client-First
Attitude. Cailie is a strong
believer that the client should determine
the legal services to be provided.
An attorney needs to listen to the
client, really understand what the
client wants and needs, and work within
that framework. Cailie strives to
ensure that the scope of her legal
work stays consistent with the client’s
expectations and budget.
-
Technological
Proficiency. The business
and insurance world demands it. An
attorney who cannot work in the real-time,
fast-paced world driven in part by
technology, is not going to be of
much use to her clients. Cailie has
a wide variety of technological tools
available and she knows how to use
technology to benefit her clients.
She is proficient in a number of office
products and often exchanges documents
with clients on a very rapid turnaround
basis.
-
About fees.
Many clients have particular concerns
about fees and their budget constraints.
Cailie is more than happy to discuss
the subject up front. She wants to
be sure that the client understands
and is comfortable with the fee structure
she and the client settle upon in
advance. Fees can be billed on an
hourly basis, as a pre-determined
charge for the entire matter or on
some other basis which makes sense
for the project.
As in any service business,
you can find lawyers with lower rates
than Cailie’s and lawyers with higher
rates than Cailie’s. One of the
major advantages to Cailie’s move
to solo practice is that, by keeping overhead
down, she can bill at rates which clients
find more budget-friendly, while still
giving the excellent service and providing
the experience they seek. She also has
the flexibility to work with clients to
fit needed services within their budget.
Cailie is certain that the value and efficiency
she provides her clients support her reasonable
fees, and that her fees reflect what clients
should expect to pay for the services
of a lawyer with her experience and knowledge
in the field. |
